Paisa De Selecto Castillo coffee beans are Colombian single-origin and cultivated in the renowned coffee-growing region of Eje Cafetero. Our farm is located in Los Alamos, Quindio, Colombia. Grown at high altitudes under mild climate conditions, these beans boast a specialty grade of around 86.It makes them second highest specialty grade level. They offer rich, complex flavors with notes of chocolate, caramel, and nuts, reflecting the balance flavor profile for which Colombian coffee is renowned for.
What is specialty coffee?
Specialty coffee refers to high-quality coffee beans that score 80 or above on a 100-point scale by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA). Specialty beans are carefully cultivated, processed, and roasted to highlight their unique flavors, resulting in a superior taste experience. Specialty coffee is often sourced from specific regions or farms known for their exceptional growing conditions.
What is the Castillo coffee bean variety?
The Castillo coffee bean variety is a hybrid developed in Colombia to combine high-quality flavor with resistance to coffee leaf rust. Renowned for its balanced flavor profile with notes of chocolate, caramel, fruits, and nuts. Castillo beans usually have low acidity, due to being grown in high-altitude regions. Because they have strong potential for scoring high in specialty grade and popularity in blends due to full body, Castillo beans are a popular choice among Colombian coffee growers in "Aje Cafetero" (Coffee Axis).
What is the taste profile of your coffee?
Our Castillo beans offer a taste of chocolate, caramel, and nutty undertones. Our coffee provides a mild and balanced flavor profile that displays the best of what unique geography of Colombian region Quindio has to offer.
How are your coffee beans processed?
We do our best to follow traditional Colombian coffee cultivation methods. Instead of automating coffee processes, we collect our beans manually. Coffee beans are hand-picked at their peak and sun-dried with precision. Our methodology is driven with care to ensure that each bean reaches the roastery to its highest potential.
What other products do you offer?
Besides our excellent specialty-grade coffee beans, we offer a range of barista kitchen tools to improve your brewing and coffee-tasting experience. It includes, but is not limited to espresso shot glasses, coffee mugs, coffee bean grinders and cold brew equipment.
How long will it take to receive my coffee beans?
Your Colombian coffee beans will be delivered within 1-3 business days from the date of order placement, depending on your location within the USA.
What is the delivery time for coffee accessories and other non-consumable products?
Non-coffee items, such as accessories and brewing equipment, will be delivered within 5-10 business days from the date of order placement.
Why do coffee beans is ship separately from other products?
In order to keep coffee beans fresh and the different origins of the products, we deliver coffee beans and accessories separately. You may receive 2 packages for one order, but there are no additional shipping costs associated for these separate shipments.
How quickly are orders processed?
Orders are typically processed within 1 day of receipt. We aim to ship it out on the same day. Curriers arrive to collect packages several times a day.
How much does the shipping cost?
Shipping within the USA is $4. However, orders over $30 qualify for free shipping within the USA.
How can I track my order?
Once your order has been shipped, a USPS tracking number will be sent to your email address. This allows you to monitor the progress of your delivery and estimated arrival date. Please make sure to fill in your email correctly in the Checkout.
What are returns and refunds conditions for non-coffee bean products?
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your non-consumable product, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. Please ensure that the item is unused, in its original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase. To initiate a return or exchange, please reach out to us by filling Contact Form. Please note that shipping fees are non-refundable if the item hasn't been broken upon receiving. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7-10 business days of receiving the returned item.
Are coffee beans eligible for refund and return?
Yes, we want you to be satisfied with your customer experience, so we try to provide the best services. If you are unhappy with the coffee beans you received, you can return them within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. Please make sure that the coffee beans are in their original packaging and unused. To initiate a return, please fill our Contact Form. Remember to mention your order number and the reason for the return. We will provide you with instructions on how to proceed. Note that return shipping costs may apply unless the return is due to an error on our part or a defective product.
